Getting to shoot in new locations will always be something that leaves me feeling so fulfilled and giddy that this is my job. Like I get excited about shooting in a new and beautiful place and then after the shoot ends I am even more excited because it was just that good. Sunset Cliffs in San Diego had been a dream of mine for a while, and this January I was finally able to make it out there and shoot with Abbie and Caden.
We started with plenty of light and ended up back at the car in the pitch dark, both of them telling me how much fun they had. One of my favorite things during a shoot is when the couple (especially the guy if we are being honest) tells you that they were pleasantly surprised at how fun and easy the entire evening was and how excited they are to see how the photos turned out!!
I love how we got the pastel colors of the sky over the Pacific Ocean with the surfers visible in the water below followed by dark and moody shots as the sun dipped below the horizon and finally ending with a few flash photos, making for a complete gallery. It turns out San Diego might be one of my favorite cities and I look forward to going back!
